| Am I suppposed to use lotion (lubriderm) during the peeling phase of my tatoo? I'm applying 3-4x a day, and sometimes while applying, some of the flakes are coming off. I know I'm not supposed to pick at them, but is this the same thing as picking? Is it normal for some of the flakes to come off while I'm applying lotion, since the skin is peeling? |

Hi Tommy,
Yes, it's fine to use the lotion during this phase - it will actually make it a little more bearable by not being quite so itchy. Just be sure to use a thin layer of lotion (don't over-do it). I use it several times a day during the peeling phase. It is normal for little pieces of skin to come off - just like it would with a sunburn.
