I've been dying to get my next tattoo for a couple months now. My tattooist tried drawing it up for me, but he said it wasn't his style and every time he tried to draw it, it turned out all goofy looking. So, if anybody feels up to trying to draw something up, I would appreciate it. Here's what I'm looking for:
I want it on my right upper arm (between my elbow and shoulder).I'm looking to have a tombstone with a sword stuck into the top of it (much like a cross traditionally is) with a hand coming out of the ground. I don't want the tombstone to be plain though, I want it to be textured with some cracks. The tombstone will say either "Reborn 07/27/03" or "Defied Death 07/27/03". I also want to have some barbed wire (the same barbed wire that's on my chest) to be wrapped around the tombstone and hand (and possibly have the hand grabbing the barbed wire with a few drops of blood) and I want the barbed wire to meet up with what's on my chest. I don't see any way to upload a pic of my current tattoo on here, so If you're interested in drawing this up you can email me at and I'll reply with a picture of the tattoo I currently have so the barb can match up. Also, you can try to incorporate the grim reaper some how.
The whole point of the tattoo is to remember that I narrowly escaped from death with an accident I had almost 5 years ago. |

Hi cbspike85, welcome to the forum!
I hope that Daze can draw up a good idea for you.
I just wanted to add - If it were me, I'd choose a tattoo artist that can draw it up well. It's my opinion that if the artist is not able to draw the tattoo, then I don't want them doing the tattoo. I mean if it's an outline, then they can just trace it - but if it's detailed and has shading, etc, then I would want someone talented in the type of art of the tattoo.
It's hard to explain what I mean - maybe this will make more sense. Anyone can take flash to an artist. Some will turn out great, some will not, even on the same design. So the design on paper is only part of it - having the talent for the type of tattoo being done is the bigger part - in my opinion. |

| I could roughly do what you want if you would like me to, but I have to agree with the above post, if the tattoo artist cannot draw it up, I wouldn't go with him or her putting it on my body. It seems much easier for someone to tattoo something they have drawn as they know what they have done. |
