hi there, I am having difficulty making stencil transfers.

i make my stencils the (old fashioned) carbon paper way. also tried black pen transfer.
I use detol to transfer but the problem is the skin always inks so faint its not dark enough to work with.
I do make sure the skin is soap cleaned properly first.

I am not doing somthing right, please dont flame me for ignorance i am still learning with pratice skin ; )

thanks in advance for your time.

This question was asked a long time ago so I am not sure if you still requre an answer, however I remember how silent some were to my requests years ago so shall help you out a bit.
I have seen many different methods of image transfer from medium knib bic byro on cling wrap in prison with burnt thong rubber ink for the medium to alcohol and hydrocarbon based products sold by superior and such that transfer the carbon from carbon paper very well, if you are having problems with detol it is usually either bad carbon paper(not all work so well) bad skin(some skintypes just won't play) or to much or too little detol. You can try Speed Stick or Brut Stick deodorants as an adhesive and try to use the twin copy papers that come with the white paper and the carbon paper as a single product. I have found single leaf carbon paper gives you the choice to use any white paper with it that may suck the carbon into the fibre and not deliver it to the scaly outer dermal layer. I have used all methods at one time but accept no responsibility for those who race into anything without staying aware of the sitters comfort level or well being as I have seen people literally fall off the chair unconcious. Always ask about allergies and test on inner flesh for sensitivity. If this advice fails you just go over it with surgeons marker once the light image is there and always allow for this in your time estimates. Hope this helps a bit. No scratchen.
