|
|
Hey everybody
My wife is due Feb 25/08 with our first child and I would like to get a tattoo to comemorate the occassion after the child is born. The problem is I am not sure what to get, I was thinking the name in script on my left bicept but I just think that alone is not enough.
Does anyone have any ideas or designs on what I should do.
Thanks |

As a proud father myself, I would suggest that you get a tattoo of an empty wallet.

| u cud get the name or initials (can be betr as u mite end up calling the child 1 name but refering to him by shorter version etc) n the zodiac symbol for child around the initials or above-kinda cheesy/feminine i no but depending on what zodiac symbol could look nice |

lol - or you could get open eyes tattooed onto you're eyelids so at least you'll look awake at work. |

Make a handprint of your childs cute little hand, Tattoo this little hand directly over your heart.
That side of your chest will have enough space for any more little hands in the future.
I wish I had done this. |

| Thanks for all the input guys but I'm still leaning towards the name in some really nice script on my left bicept, but I am still open to some suggestions. |

Hey Garyzda1 I know that the childs hand will be fairly small but is there a way to put the first name along with the hand print, it seems that it might be to small to do some lettering under it.
what does everyone think about this idea. |

I have all my wifes name and birthdate on my back as well as my kids in the same way, which includes our granddaughter to. But my wife and daughter wanted to do the same but waited. And when our little one was able to walk and talk she showed that she loved Butterfly. So my wife and daughter went out and got a butterfly tattoo to represent her. And to this day the little one will scream out loudly Butterfly when she see one.
So I would wait till your little package comes along and shows you what they like. I think it would make it just that little more special and you could still have their name and birth date belove it or above it. |

| I did something a little different then most for my son's birth... I went to flamingtext.com and found some wicked lettering. I put it together how I wanted and got his name inked all the way down my left upper arm. His name is Ryan by the way. |

| People who like Polynesian tattoo sometimes get the name of their child (or a beloved person) written in Polynesian style calligraphy. It is not a Polynesian alphabet, just the normal letters designed with a Polynesian twist. Sometimes the letters are designed in such a way that it is not obvious that a name is written - it looks likes a tribal pattern - and only the wearer knows what it means. There are many many Polynesian styles (Marquesan, Maori, Samoan, Hawaiian, etc.) and every artist has his own style too. You will find many examples on the Net; Just Google Polynesian tattoo. |
