i aint too sure about that mate, what i use to transfer a copy of a design to a person's skin is, hectograph carbon paper, i got mine from ebay, there was about 5 sheets for £5...
also bare in mind, that not all carbon paper works for transfering designs, i use antiseptic spray to moisten up the area, and then apply the carbon transfer of the design...
hope this has helped...

ye theres a few parts to carbon paper, if you can get 1 sheet of carbon paper, you can use tracing paper to use as a transfer, all you have to do is, lay your tracing paper on top of the carbon paper, and trace over the design that is already on the tracing paper, its just so that the tracing paper can pick up the carbon on the carbon sheet....
lol also, its abit painful doing a tattoo on yourself, ive tried and ouch lol... |

lol that was my thoughts, remember not to go to far into the skin with the needle, you will end up getting an "ink blow out" and it will be a big line, compared to the rest...
remember:
Outlining (7-9 volts).
A distance between center of front coil core and armature bar: 1.25mm.
Shading (6-7 volts).
A distance between center of front coil core and armature bar: 1.85mm.
source: i got the info out of one of the topics on this website...

lol straight lines can be the hardest thing to do in the world, when its hurting ya lol thats why i went with a free hand design with curves in lol...
also mate, if you wanted something to help you further your carrer in tattooing, try getting the huck spalding "art of tattooing" book & DVD, it has helped me in a huge way, thanks to Garyzda1, if he didnt tell me about it, i would have never of known it exsisted, or it would of been too late...
and no problem mate, thats why were all here, were all here to help one another ...

i cant think of anything mate, all i can say is try and keep the nautical star to a little one, but not too little though, otherwise it will just look like a blob of ink...

ye because tattoo apprenticeships am just that easy to come by, not only that i have a cuple of grand in my bank to give to a money grabbin tattoo artist (not all am like that)...
why do you think people tend to teach themselves?...
theres a few tattooist out there that have won awards for their tattoos and theyre self taught... |

lardlad a nautical start is always a good tattoo but like robertz said there hard becuz of straight line esspecially on your self its always better to be on the other side of the needle but you shud try tattooing a kanji symbol or somthing like that im also planning on tattooing my self with a kanji but as garyzda1 told me "any body who tattoos them self has a fool for a client"he might be rite but if you trust your self and your ability it shudnt be a problem |
