ok my 18th is july 22nd its a sunday and the tattoo shop is not open then(he is a family friend) but he has booked me in for the 23rd,(dad done it to suprise me i have wanted a tattoo for years!)
the only thing is im going to crete on the 24th and i was wondering will this be a problem? i do not want to cancel either my holiday or tattoo i was just wondering if anyone has done this before??
email me with information please if you have had any experiences like this

Having a tat then going on holiday is not an immediate problem, however it may become a real issue depending on what you are planning in doing on holiday.

The problem is connected to the healing of the tattoo and the kind of stuff people do on holiday, sunbathing and swimming will seriously damage the tattoo if it hasnt healed fully takes about a month to fully heal.

By seriously damage i mean the depth of colour will fade out the healing will possibly be delayed the lining may suffer.

By all means get the tat then go on holiday but keep it covered (clothes not bandages) and dont go swimming.

dont forget plenty of sun block..
KEEP IT COVERED. especially if its going to be hot...

its not going to be bright colours it is more bluey purpley grey and whites.. so the fading of colours i wont be too worried about because i can always get it touched back up or more work done etc... if it is going to be a problem i have another tattoo in mind that i have also wanted on my hip (not exposed to the sun) so i do have a backup plan..
the first thing i will do is obviously talk to the artist and ask him his opinion on which wud be the best thing to do go for the tattoo i had in mind first or the one wich wud probably heal alot better.

thankyou so much for your replys and u have helped calm my mind down a little bit, like i said i did not want to cancel either my holiday or tattoo.

You might be better to rebook your appointment for after your holiday...how long are you on holiday? if you've waited for years then another couple of weeks isn't going to hurt....if you can't wait then definitely use loads of sunblock on the tattoo and don't go swimming...this will ruin your tattoo and it won't heal nicely. You can have it retouched after...but I think it's better to have it heal properley 1st time around.

im going for 2 weeks, i cant change it because it is booked and deposit payed for. they have been waiting for me to go in aswell lol everytime my dad went in to get his tattoo finished they were always askin bout when im wantin it done and if im still waiting lol

i was thinking about maybe seeing if i will be able to go before my birthday but as i wont be 18 before my birthday im not sure... im just a little stuck on what to do and what i can do lol

im going to crete, i did reply to this yesterday but i gess it neva went in, i am going to change my tattoo date like it was said if i waited years i can wait another few weeks, i will probably b getting it a week or 2 after i come bak from my holiday Smile
