Here is what I'm currently considering the final tribute to my Dad who passed away. The design is inspired by a quotation by Carter Hodding a Pulitzer Prize winning author. My mother gave me a tapestry that hangs by my bed. Here's the quote, “There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.”
My question is should I keep the quote private or should I add it somewhere, maybe under the design. I feel like adding it is overkill? Comments? |

| what if you do both...? Keep it private to you, but still have it on you. I know that makes no sense right now, but what if you incorporated what looks like tribal roots coming off the piece, and then added something like a "shadow" of wings behind the piece. With the way the peaks on on the top of the piece it wouldn't be hard to throw some wings on that... *nods* just an idea. The nice thing about tribal is that 9 times out of 10 you can usually add more to it and no one is the wiser that it wasn't all done at once. |

| I think it will be overkill if you add the quote....it is 17 words long and it will have to be good size lettering to make it readable....it might look a bit much and placement of the quote will be difficult. It's a great quote though!!!! |
