So i've got this idea to somehow represent the love experiences in my life. The first being the unconditional love for my 2 boys, next the faded love for my ex-wife, and then the forbidden love for an engaged girl. Who i gave my heart to, we cared about each other a lot, but due to circumstances can not be together. Any ideas on how to bring these ideas together for one tattoo. Or maybe this isn't even a good idea for one tattoo. The problem is i'm not creative at all, so any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

keb, i think you have a problem here...
why dont you get a love knot...that way it will represent all the love tangles in your life...

There is one thing that is for certain and that is your kids will always be your kids. Your wife or husband (girlfriend or boyfriend) my not alway be your's. So, even though I have my wifes name on me (married 27 years now) I think we are together forever. I dont think that placing your partners name on you is the right thing. But that's your desision to make not mine.
I might think of maybe placing your kids name in a heart or have their names tattooed close to your heart. I like Chic's idea also.
But lovers come and go but kids are always your's no matter what.
