Does anybody else have this problem whenever i wash socks i can guareentee i will lose some of the pairs. When i come to pair them up there is always some missing. Evil or Very Mad

I think i have a sock eating machine no matter how i try i lose socks. Rowdy is having to go around wth odd sock on poor man. Please let me know that i am not going mad and there is such a machine that likes the taste of socks. Laughing

I had this problem for many years in fact i hired a group of cambridge graduates at considerable personal expense, being the nice bloke i am i will share with you there findings for free:

1) there is indeed a sock eating monster in every washing machine these monsters are actually the Dalek creatures from Doctor Who and are using the washing machine to replace the armour they are used to.

2) the monsters cant be removed as this is in breach of RSPCA policy.

3) you have three choices: a) wear odd socks
b) wear smelly socks
c) only buy black socks hence negating the need to match them up, this is the best option as it is proven to save at least three hours housework a year.

Yep , i get this prob every week i have a basket full of the single socks .... must be 20 of them just this year .
All my daughters too , i am guessing if i went to her room i may find some , but am sure the machine has been eating most of them .
I very rarely wear shoes or socks so mine never go missing Very Happy
