Hey everyone so I just got a new tattoo 2 weeks ago and I was curious to see how long i should continue to use the lotion on my tat ?
Theres no longer any scab or any flaking skin (wasnt realy much to begin with) i've been using it now for the past few days just once a day in the morning an hour after my shower .
My tat is a tribal sun with my zodiac symbol in the middle in negative space. The outside likes are dark with the inside slightly shaded with a bit of negative spacing just b 4 the sun rays.
I've noticed its still a bit darker and my tattooist said it still looks a touch red but wil go away and the sading will get lighter.. How long does this normally take and am I not using enough lotion or too much ?
Thank you all in advance. |

If the scabbing has gone then you can stop using lotions and potions.
I sometimes use moustierser (spelling) for a bit after the scabs have gone that may reduce the redness. |

| do you use body oil, like baby oil after a bath or shower, that should be fine. and it makes your tattoo nice and shiny.. |

no baby oil after my showers..currently its been 20 days since my tattoo and at the end of the day is slighly red and feels a bit irratated currently only using vasaline intensive care in the morning a hour after my shower.
In the morning after my shower the tattoo loks great shading looks perfect and not too dark but by the end of the day its darker because of the slight reddness and the tattoo looks slighly blotchy...
Should i continue ? stop ? or use something else ? |

is it a specific colour that is irritated, usually red..
then use some savlon or go to the doctor and he could give you some cortisone cream... |

| No red color in the tattoo just black outline with grey shading.. Tattos not totally red its just when I went back into the shop last week to hav ethe guy look at the tat he said it would lighten up (grey shading) a bit more because the tattoo was still slighly red and is the same today as it was last time. |
