A few weeks ago I was here asking various questions to put my mind at rest. Well last weekend I went and had my tattoo done! Its a completely unique self designed symbol which has various meanings to me.
What do you guys think?

No its nothing to do with stargate, I am an engineer who also has welsh, irish and scottish roots.... so i designed a tribal turbine blade which also has a hexagon incorporated into it..just like a bolt head... all very engineering inspired in a celtic style. I drew the design out using autocad.

one thing i stopped worrying about when i decided to get tattoos was what other people thought of me. and quite honestly, its been the best feeling ever. i always wanted to get them, but thought what would my mom think or what would so and so think. what it all boils down to is you have to do what makes you happy. there are more important things in life to be worried about. your parents should be happy that you are supporting yourself with a good job and not concerned with something you decided to put on your body. your not some 17 year old kid running out and getting a bands logo or some other stupid tattoo. you thought about ahead of time, designed it yourself and got something you like. that is very responsible in my book.

also, who cares what we think of it? if you like it that is the only thing that matters. if you told me you thought my ink was the worst looking piece of crap ever, i wouldnt lose any sleep becuase i love them and thats all that matters.

i hope getting the tattoo was a good experience for you and helps you to see what is really important in life: happiness.
