My name is Stephen and I am a photojournalist working on a project for the Oakland Tribune and my photojournalism class. I am looking for volunteers who have memorial tattoos for people they've lost or have tattoos of the following: weapons of any sort, death imagery or other tattoos of a similar nature.
I am particularly interested in the stories that go along with these tattoos. I'm trying to find the reason why people get certain tattoos and what their tattoo means to them.
The project involves taking pictures of the tattoos as described above, as well as a brief interview about the tattoo and what it means.
